Let us gather, run, eat pie and rally some $$ and food for Neighbor Impact. I Like Pie is FootZone’s Thanksgiving Day untimed run/walk open to everyone. Individuals and families of all ages and running/walking abilities are encouraged to come run/walk, bring pie, eat pie, and have fun!
Cost: Suggested donation of $5 and 5 lbs. of food for NeighborImpact. All funds go directly to NeighborImpact.
Registration: Paper registration is available at FootZone. Online registration at the link above requires a donation, and includes additional service fees.
Pie: Bring along a pie to help feed the masses. You can choose to enter it in the pie baking contest or not. Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 pies in both the “traditional” and “open” pie category.
Food Drive: Please bring your 5 lbs of food for Neighbor Impact on the morning of the event. We will have a collection trailer behind the Tower Theater. Last year we managed 6000 lbs of food and are hoping to top that this year!
Shirts: This year’s shirt is a comfy cotton/poly blend, perfect for lounging after your big meal. The cost is $15 and only guaranteed for pick-up on 11/22 at FootZone or at I Like Pie if you pre-order on or before Wednesday TBD. After TBD, the cost is $20 and the shirts will be available at FootZone on 12/9.
Additional Donations: We’ll have a jar at the event if you’d like to make an additional financial donation to Neighbor Impact.
Where/when: Mirror Pond Plaza in front of Crows Feet Commons, 875 NW Brooks St. Shirt pick-up starts at 8:15am. Run/walk starts at 9am.
Course: A family-friendly option allows young runners and their families to do a 2k circuit of Drake Park, with no major street crossings, before returning to Mirror Pond Plaza for pie. Continuing along the 1st Street Rapids trail, the 5k and 10k turn-arounds will be marked; the 12 mile turnaround is the green gate at the end of the trail. This is an untimed event.
