The Education Foundation For Bend-LaPine Schools

Originally developed in 1988 The School Foundation, Inc. was created to aid schools in a time of crisis.  In 1994 it became an independent nonprofit 501(c)3 organization.  In 2002, the organization was renamed The Education Foundation for the Bend-La Pine School District and a new Board was recruited.  It is comprised of parents, concerned citizens, civic/business leaders and educators with a common belief that a vibrant public school system is essential to the social and economic well being of the community. Now named The Education Foundation for Bend-La Pine Schools, our purpose is:

• To give teachers the tools needed to teach effectively
• To increase educational opportunities for all students
• To foster scholarship and professional development
• To encourage creative and innovative curriculam

Since 2003, we have invested approximately $1,000,000.00 into local public schools through the programs described below.  These funds have impacted the work of numerous teachers and the lives of thousands of children!
